This section contains safety information for preventing harm to users and third persons, and damage to property.
Throughly read this section before using this product and use the product properly.

Be aware that Star Micronics shall bear no liability for any damage that occurs as a result of incorrect use in a manner inconsistent with the contents of the safety information or the manual for this product.

Warning

  1. In the event that heating, smoking, abnormal odor, or other irregular phenomenon occurs, immediately remove the power plug or AC adapter of the connected printer from the electrical outlet. Then contact the seller.
    If use of the product is continued, fire or electric shock may occur.
  2. Do not dissemble, repair or modify.
    Doing so may cause fire, electric shock, or injury.
  3. When disconnecting the power USB cable, always grasp the plug and not the cable.
    Otherwise, the cable may be damaged, and a short circuit, fire, or electric shock may occur.
  4. Do not damage, modify, forcefully bend, pull, twist, put a heavy object on, or squeeze the power USB cable.
    Otherwise, the cable may be damaged, and a short circuit, fire, or electric shock may occur.
  5. Do not use a damaged power USB cable.
    Doing so may cause a short circuit, fire, or electric shock.
  6. Do not touch the power USB cable with wet hands.
    Doing so may cause an electric shock.
  7. If foreign matter such as liquid or metal fragments gets inside the product, immediately remove the power plug or AC adapter of the connected printer from the electrical outlet. Then contact the seller.
    If you keep using the product, fire or electric shock may occur.
  8. Do not climb on the product or place a heavy object on it. Doing so may cause an injury or malfunction.

Caution

  1. When connecting or disconnecting a product cable, first remove the power plug or AC adapter of the connected printer from the electrical outlet to ensure safety.
  2. Do not forcibly pull on a connected cable.
  3. Do not place a heavy object on a cable or subject it to extreme bending.
  4. When disconnecting a cable, always grasp the plug part, and make sure that no excessive force is applied to the connector.
  5. Do not use or store the product in a location where there is much humidity or dust.
  6. When disposing of this product, be sure to follow local ordinances and regulations.
    For reasons of information protection, you should initialize the network settings before disposing of the product.
