Installation in Limited Spaces

Adopts a compact and efficient design with a front paper exit and front-opening paper replacement structure, minimizing the need for surrounding space. This allows for paper replenishment even when installed in narrow spaces, such as under shelves. Additionally, despite its compact size, it supports label rolls with a maximum diameter of 102mm, reducing the frequency of paper replacement.

Contribution to Reduced Running Costs of Label Paper

When using linerless labels, the print area per label can be reduced, contributing to lower running costs. Additionally, the print resolution has been enhanced from the conventional 203dpi to 300dpi, enabling the printing of a large amount of information even on compact label paper. Furthermore, it is equipped with a paper-saving function that reduces margins.

One Printer for a Wide Range of Use

It supports a wide range of paper types, including strong adhesive and weak adhesive linerless labels, die-cut labels, full-surface labels, and receipt paper. For paper width, it adopts an adjustable paper holder mechanism that allows various widths of paper rolls to be set without requiring additional parts such as paper guides. Furthermore, in terms of connectivity, it supports multiple interfaces, including USB, Ethernet, Bluetooth®, and Wireless LAN, enabling use in various connection environments.

Easy Maintenance Design for Long-Term Use

The mC-Label2 is designed so that parts that have worn out after long-term use can be replaced without tools. The video manual provides easy-to-understand instructions on how to replace parts and how to clean them. Even if you forget when it is time to clean or replace the printer, the printer will notify you when the time is approaching by lighting the LED and printing a message. In addition, by using the Device Monitor provided in the Star Micronics Cloud Services, you can receive email notifications from the cloud about the right time to replace parts according to the frequency of use of the printer.

High-speed printing

As a 58mm wide strong adhesive linerless label printer, it achieves the industry’s fastest speed of 180mm/sec. Printing begins instantly upon receiving the print command, allowing tasks to be completed quickly and efficiently. This significantly enhances efficiency in environments that demand rapid operations, such as retail stores and logistics sites. Furthermore, it is also suitable for continuous printing with die-cut labels, delivering stable performance across a wide range of applications.

Easy Setup

By using the Star Quick Setup Utility™, a setup application compatible with iOS and Android™, simplifies the setting. Especially the wireless LAN setup process that is often considered complicated in stores, users can easily complete the setup by simply following on-screen instructions and bringing their mobile device close to the printer. In addition, we have prepared an extensive online manual to support the setup when installing the printer in the store.

Intuitive label creation and printing service

In order to meet the requests such as “I want to easily create and print store original labels”, we offer “Label Builder”, which allows users to design labels intuitively, and “One Touch Label”, which allows users to print created designs with a single press of a printer button.

The common control method(integration) as Star's receipt printers

Development kits, various drivers and utilities that can be used for multiple OSs such as iOS, Android™,and Windows® are available, just like conventional receipt printers. mC-Label2 also supports CloudPRNT™, which enables direct printing from a remote server, so mC-Label2 can directly print orders via the cloud like online orders.

Star Sustainability

Linerless labels, which are labels without a release liner, contribute to resource conservation and make it possible to eliminate CO₂ emissions that would otherwise be generated during the incineration of the liner. Furthermore, aiming to provide environmentally friendly products, we have reduced the size of individual packaging boxes, improving loading efficiency during transportation and thereby reducing the environmental impact associated with shipping. Additionally, we use bags that contain 25% biomass plastic made from renewable organic resources.
