Notice Regarding Completion of “Solution Center” in Machine Tools Businesses
Star Micronics Co., Ltd. is pleased to announce that the construction of “Solution Center” of Machine Tools Businesses, as we have announced as of October 18, 2018, has been completed. Details are as follows.
1. Outline
Location: 1500-34 Kitanoya, Misawa, Kikugawa, Shizuoka (in Kikugawa Factory)
Outline of the structure: steel three-story building
Building area: 1,585 m2
Total floor area: 3,596 m2
Total project cost: about 1.4 billion yen

2. Floor Configuration
(1) First Floor
<Star Technical Showroom>
- On the first floor, there are a showroom for permanent exhibition of ten units of our company’s product lineup and a special room for NC training where we will enhance our before services such as test machining and practical machine operation training.
- On this floor, there also are three evaluation test rooms where we can conduct product test in temperature-controlled environment under more severeconditions than conventional ones and a measurement room with the state-of-the-art automatic measurement instrument installed.
We will enhance product development pursing
high quality and high precision.
(2) Second floor
<Large Conference Room>
- On the second floor, there are a reception room with online conference equipment and a large conference room that holds over 90 people where we will enhance our sales activities by holding meetings for providing descriptions of products, presentations of new products, private exhibitions and other events to our customers, distributors and sales subsidiaries from Japan and overseas.
(3) 3rd Floor
<Sales Department Office>
- On the third floor, there is an office for the Sales Department (that holds up to 100 people).
3. Policy for future utilization
We will enhance customer satisfaction utilizing the facilities and functions of Solution Center, as well as focusing on development of machining technologies and application software that will help our customers solve their issues.
We will plan various events such as private exhibitions, technical seminars, and not only hold them at the Solution Center but also use online to disseminate information.
Furthermore, we will actively promote online technical support in both before and after-sale services.
