Star Micronics Has Acquired the ISO27001 Information Security Management System Certification

Star Micronics Co., Ltd. is proud to announce that it has acquired the ISO27001 certification, the international standard certification for Information Security Management System (ISMS), to manage security and protect important information for users, for expanding its cloud service business.

Star Micronics Cloud Service offers the digital receipt service AllReceipts®, which enables small and mid-size retailers who are using Star printers to connect with shoppers and increase their sales.

With our service, receipt data is collected and stored on the cloud server. Shoppers can access it by using the special app on their smartphone. Retailers can provide digital marketing services such as customer satisfaction survey, distribution of latest information for shoppers and delivery of coupons by using this service.

Star Micronics Cloud Service collects and stores customers’ important information via AllReceipts®. We have been promoting measures to protect the information assets we own and customer information and establish the secure information management system. In addition to acquisition of the ISO27001 certification, Star will continue efforts to engage in the information security management to improve customer satisfaction and provide secure services.
