Sustainable Production and Procurement
For the Company, which operates not only in Japan but also globally, the realization of stable and sustainable production, procurement, supply, and services, which we aim to achieve together with our business partners, is becoming increasingly important from the perspective of business continuity.
Basic Approach
We promote responsible procurement with consideration for environmental, social, and governance (ESG) factors, not only in our own
business activities but also across the entire supply chain.
Specifically, we have established the Star Micronics Group Sustainability Procurement Guidelines to promote respect for human rights,
environmental responsibility, and fair business practices based on legal compliance and high ethical standards.
These Guidelines were developed based on the Star Micronics Group Sustainability Code of Conduct, the Star Micronics Group Human
Rights Policy, and the Star Micronics Group Procurement Policy.
Implementation Structure
We have established the Human Rights and Procurement Subcommittee under the Sustainability Committee to oversee sustainable
procurement initiatives.
Working with relevant departments, we promote company-wide initiatives and continuously review the Guidelines and their
implementation, taking into account feedback from internal and external stakeholders.
