- A printer firmware update fixes problems and adds new features. For this reason, it is recommended to keep the firmware up to date.
- The CloudPRNT protocol uses the MAC address of an Ethernet LAN port for a printer even if it is connected via wireless LAN.
This allows StarIO.Online to recognize and manage the printer as the same unit whichever LAN system, Ethernet LAN or wireless LAN, is used with the printer.
The printer firmware version can be checked by the Self-Printing function of the printer. For details, refer to "Self-Printing" in the Online Manual.
