What Is Star Document Markup?

Star Document Markup is a markup language that allows you to easily generate print data for POS (Point of Sales).

With Star Document Markup, you can create print data intuitively without knowledge of complicated printer control commands.


Print data created in Star Document Markup format can be converted into printer control commands through a CloudPRNT developer support tool.

By using the following print data, however, you can print a receipt with a design as shown in the print result:

  • Since a preview may differ from the print result, check the print result from a real printer for final adjustment.
  • Data output with the Star Document Markup Designer is text data that is in Star Document Markup format.
