  • A printer firmware update fixes problems and adds new features. For this reason, it is recommended to keep the firmware up to date.
  • The printer firmware version can be checked by the Self-Printing function of the printer. For details, refer to "Self-Printing" in the Online Manual.

  • HTTP and HTTPS (TLS 1.2, TLS 1.3 *3) run on printers.
The standard HTTP Basic Authentication uses user name/password security.
*3 TLS 1.3 supports only some models. For details, refer to Cipher Suite Support List.
  • For USB peripheral support, HI01X/HI02X firmware version 1.4 or later is required.
  • For a list of supported USB peripheral devices, refer to Controlling Peripheral Devices.
  • The CloudPRNT protocol uses the MAC address of the printer's Ethernet LAN port, even when connected over a wireless LAN.
This allows the server to recognize and manage the printer as the same one whether it is used Ethernet or wireless LAN.
