Is the LED display in the Ready status?
Please check that the Ready LED is turned on.
If the Ready LED is flashing, please check the LED lamp display content. If the LED display is "Link Down (Physical disconnection)", check if the wireless router and access point of the connection destination are working properly.
In addition, if the LED display indicates "Link Down (IP address not retrieved)", check if the DHCP server is available.
Does your communication device supports WPS?
Also, is a DHCP server enabled for iOS and Android devices?
For the wireless router or communication device to be used as the access point, check if the device supports WPS.
Also, this printer only supports wireless channels between 1 and 11. If the access point is set to a channel besides 1 to 11, connection is not possible.
For iOS and Android devices, address management based on a DHCP server is required when connecting via WPS. Check if the DHCP server is available.
Is the connection between the access point and printer established?
Check if "SSID" in **Network Configuration** of the self-printing printout is the network name of the connection destination.
If the network name is not printed, the network connection is not performed correctly. Initialize the network settings and then try connecting again.
After configuring the wireless LAN settings, is “WPS Connection failed” listed in the printed Wireless Network Connection Status?
After configuring the wireless LAN settings, the network connection settings diagnosis result is printed as **Wireless Network Connection Status**.
If the problem is not solved after trying the following things, please contact the network administrator.
“WPS Connection failed” is displayed in **Wireless Network Connection Status**
Failed to connect the printer and an access point (wireless LAN router or other access point) using the WPS function. Try the action listed below.
- Check that the access point that you will connect to is turned on.
If the power is not turned on, turn the power on and configure the printer connection settings again. - Check whether the WPS button on the access point has been pressed.
As long as an access point supports WPS function, Network setting can be configured correctly even when the manufacturer is different.
The name of the WPS button may differ depending on the manufacturer. - Connection may fail when the strength of the wireless LAN communication signal between the printer and your access point is low.
Review the positions of the printer and your access point and remove any obstacles between them so that the signal can pass between them easily, then restart the printer and configure the connection settings again.
If the network settings are correct however an IP address cannot be acquired, the status of wireless LAN communication between the printer and access point may be unstable.
When “Weak” is displayed for the Signal Strength of **Wireless Network Connection Status**, review the positions of the printer and your access point and remove any obstacles between them so that the signal can pass between them easily, then restart the printer and configure the connection settings again.
Depending on the firmware version, the firmware may not support printing of the **Wireless Network Connection Status** after wireless LAN configuration, or the auto reset function when wireless LAN connection fails.
The firmware version can be checked on the Self-Printing.

Have you configured wireless LAN setting items before?
After configuring wireless LAN settings using WPS, HTTP, TELNET, and such, the printer will start in infrastructure mode and AP mode connections will not be accepted.
If an AP mode connection is needed again, initialize the network settings.
Initialize Network SettingsDoes the firmware of the printer support AP mode?
Depending on the firmware version, AP mode cannot be used. If you use iOS or Windows 7 which supports Ad-Hoc mode, connect using Ad-Hoc mode.
Regarding firmware updates, consult our local distributor.
Has the same network as the printer been set to your tablet or PC?
If the network environment changes due to a change in SSID, router, or other element, it is necessary to change the wireless LAN settings.
If the network environment that is used is different from the network environment that is set on the printer side, reconfigure the printer or tablet/PC so that the SSID is the same.
After configuring the wireless LAN settings, is there an item listed as “(Fail)“ in the printed the Wireless Network Connection Status?
After configuring the wireless LAN settings, the network connection settings diagnosis result is printed as **Wireless Network Connection Status**.
If “(Fail)” is listed for the SSID, security type, or security key, the connection failed because there is an error in that item.
To correct it, refer to the following.
If the problem is not solved after trying the following things, or if the SSID, security type, and security key settings of the access point (wireless LAN router or other access point) are not known, please contact the network administrator.
* With the factory setting, the auto reset function is enabled. This initializes wireless LAN settings to the factory setting if the printer power is turned off and back on when “(Fail)” is listed.
“SSID was not found” is displayed in **Wireless Network Connection Status**
The SSID which was entered in the connection settings was searched for but was not found. Try the action listed below.
- Check that the access point that you will connect to is turned on.
If the power is not turned on, turn the power on and configure the printer connection settings again. - Check that SSID of the access point that you will connect to has been entered correctly.
The entered characters are case sensitive. The entered SSID can be checked from **Wireless Network Connection Status**. If the entered SSID was not correct, restart the printer and configure the connection settings again. - With the TSP100IIIW, it is necessary to enter an SSID in the 2.4 GHz frequency band.
If an SSID in the 5.0 GHz frequency band was entered, “(Fail)” will be printed even if the SSID was entered correctly. Restart the printer and reconfigure the connection settings to connect to an SSID in the 2.4 GHz frequency band. - Connection may fail when the strength of the wireless LAN communication signal between the printer and your access point is low.
Review the positions of the printer and your access point and remove any obstacles between them so that the signal can pass between them easily, then restart the printer and configure the connection settings again.
“Security type was incorrect” is displayed in **Wireless Network Connection Status**
The security type which was selected in the connection settings is not the same as the security type of the network that you are attempting to connect to. Try the action listed below.
- Check the security type that is used by the access point that you will connect to.
The entered security type can be checked from **Wireless Network Connection Status**. If the wrong security type was selected, restart the printer and configure the connection settings again.
Compatible security types: WPA2/AES, WPA2/TKIP, WPA/AES, WPA/TKIP, WEP
“Security Key was incorrect” is displayed in **Wireless Network Connection Status**
The security key that was entered in the connection settings is not the same as the security key that is set at the access point. Try the action listed below.
- Check that the combination of entered SSID and security key is correct.
If the combination of entered SSID and security key is not correct, restart the printer and configure the connection settings again. - Check that security key has been entered correctly.
The entered characters are case sensitive. If the entered security key is not correct, restart the printer and configure the connection settings again.

De-curl function
This machine provides the de-curl function to correct curls generated in thermal paper roll. The de-curl mechanism is always running during paper feeding.
- However, this function cannot remove curls completely.
- A receipt may be slightly folded near the top depending on the time in which receipt paper is left during the period from when a receipt is printed until the next one.
- The de-curl effect varies depending on the paper you use or your environment.
- Depending on the type or remaining amount of thermal paper roll, a receipt may be warped in a direction opposite to the normal direction by the de-curl function.
